i don't know if there is a true 'cure'. I suppose nutrition probably plays a big part.
I'm a big fan of Proactive-- the zit cream infomertial-- it really helps with acne- it feels good, smells okay, helps with oiliness and is non drying and non-irritating to my skin.
really keeps it healthier and younger.

really - it's a blessing to have oily skin- it keeps you looking younger longer.

I think drinking lots of water also helps flush the oil too.

I myself have struggled with trying to keep my skin clear for the last ten years. I always had such oily skin but I am allergic to benzoil peroxide and sacylic acid. Well, recently about three weeks ago I finally talked to someone who gave me this advice. Find a face mask that has sulfur as its main component and do the mask three to four times a week. I started doing that and a moisurizing mask once a week and yes I actually had to start moisturizing because the sulfur mask helps keep the oil so under control. YOu should really try it. Proactive has a refining face mask that has sulfur or DDF sulfur face mask. You can get that at sephora or online. Hope this helps. Also, you should use tea tree oil shampoo. That helps keep the oil on your scalp under control.

I have a combo skin. Proactive really helps well. I also use rice sheets on my oily area.

I have had major problems with Proactive. I also have had trouble with saclic acid and benzoil peroxide. The best thing that I have found is Tea Tree Oil. The Body Shop has a very good line. The products last a long time. They also have tea tree tissues that you can use when you have makeup on and the oil comes off of your face but the makeup stays on.

They have a website that you can order it from if you don't live by a store.

If you want to try a "natural" (or more natural) help/fix... I have recently discovered Olive Oil soap. Go figure ~ it is made with oil, but helps control oiliness. My shine factor is way down since using this stuff & I love it.

What got me started was that I received some samples in the mail from a company called DHC. (They have a website you can request samples from.) You don't have to use much of the product either. Small amounts go a long way.

Hope this helps.

wow, i have wicked oily skin, i wear makeup, foundation and loose face powder, but even so, i am still shiny after 1-2 hours, i either splash water on my face to soak up the oil, or use some tissues, oil blotting ones, or even toilet paper, the soft kind will work.

I have heard that Bare Minerals loose powder works, but not for me, tried it and I am still shiny faced.

One good thing about oily skin is, i read an article that it keeps us "younger" looking cuz our faces are never dried and cracked with wrinkles and signs of againg...so true for me!.
