Seems it won't let me post my reply so I thought I would continue it here hope that's okay..
*smiles*So many great perceptions here.. Angel I agree with you completley..

It is about accountablity and not being a victim. To make it short.

I also like what SC said about falling in love with ourselves that is the basic concept. If we love ourselves unconditionally we will not settle for less than we deserve, we will set boundaries and do the necessary work to assure that our needs are met.

No it's not about male bashing... it's about loving oneself male or female.

I have learned what ever we think and feel about ourselves we also do with others. I have learned to look at others more compassionatley (with work) say when someone is a judgemental person because I have learned that they judge themselves harshly. The reason I believe this is the more I work on loving and nurturing myself the more compassion I have for others. When I am condeming myself I notice I tend to look at others with more judgement and a lot less love. I can accept others unconditonally only when I can do that for myself..

Awsome topic SC there have been so many wonderful points brought up here to many to mention.. but all wonderful.. great insight 😉

YES, YES AND YES!!!! When we say YES to ourselves...we say yes to the world.
One way that I say yes to myself is every night before I go to sleep - I think of 10 positive things that i have done. Instead of ruminating about all of the things that I haven't accomplished - and thus inviting more shame and anxiety - I try to counter-act that in acknowledging all of the things that I DID accomplish....even if that means that number 9 or 10 accounts for brushing my teeth - or number one accounts for getting out of bed in the morning....it's an accomplishment worthy of acknowledging in my mind's eyes...and it does help. (Just my two cents.)

I think once we acknowledge our problems and fears, we take the first step in making our lives better. For fear of change we tend to wanna stay right where we are because its familiar and safe. Change is the hardest thing in the world to except for all of us, but at some point in our lives we have to move forward. All to often we wanna love someone so badly that we forget to love ourselves. How can you truely love another of you don't love youself?

Those two cents were worthy brendalee.

I did the same thing in a blessings journal. It helps to remember the sweetest things about life. A gorgeous sunset, a purple irridescent dragonfly, a new comfy shirt, anything that you are grateful for.

Being positive in your way of looking at the world makes a huge difference in how you handle the small things that happen everyday.

Hello guys,

I am so glad that everyone seems to have gotten something out of my question... Some of the responses have been soooo helpful to me... It has helped me to realize that while I am so busy trying to please my children, bf, mother, boss etc.... I need to also please myself... Brendalee.... I love your idea of listing 10 accomplishments every night... And yes I consider getting out of bed and brushing my teeth at night two really good accomplishments :^) I believe I am going to get me a journal and start listing these things because I can get depressed and everything seems to go bad.... I need to remind myself that everything is not quite as bad as it seems... Great ideas.. I am so glad that this has brought so many of us together...

On another note since it has brought so many of us together I am curious where everyone is from.... I understand that we should not give out detailed information so if everyone will tell me what State you are located in...I have a feelings that such a large place such as the USA has been brought together by this wonderful site..

I live in Alabama
Good Ole Southern Girl :^)
