what are the processes involve in the cognitive counseling? Please help me in my report...

Hervy,

My understanding of cognitive therapy is that it is based on the assumption that psychological problems are due to maladaptive thinking as opposed to environmental factors. Meaning that, it is not the environment or situations that ail us, but the way we THINK about them that gives us problems. The treament therefore concentrates on recognizing and altering unhealthy thinking patterns.

I'm not sure if this helped or not, but if you take a look on the web or the local library, I'm sure you can find more than enough information for your report.
