I have a theory/statement. People go through life with their blinders on, oh I feel sad, whatever will I do, not call this 800# listed right in the phone book...similar things....People have a tendancy to ignore painful/difficult things in hopes they will cure themselves or just go away. For instance, bill paying....."Well, I mailed it last week, so it isn't my fault"
This is a perfect example of blinders-well, i mailed it, I don't know what else to do....bullcr-p! How about taking ownership for your actions or inactions. I am so tired of people wearing their blinders.

it's called excuse making.

you are very right.

my BF is just like this - I put in the application, they didn't call me - so it's not my fault they didn't hire me - what happened to following up and showing how interested in the job you are or how much you want it????

people are being lazy and irresponsible and making excuses to cover it up. some realize they do it, others are just blind that they do it, and once you point it out, get defensive. the good ones are the ones that fix the bad habit.

I call this living in denial. I don't know why people behave like that. I think it has to do with their childhood and their parents and family of origin dynamics. Most Kids imitate their parents.

I come from dysfunctional family. Yet, I always managed to keep light in my heart. Sunshine. It was Not easy. Especially when you look at your parents who are supposed to be your role models and they do unacceptable things. Yet I always persevered and I was greatly rewarded.

We really need to be independent and look to ourselves if our parents fail us. Parents are humans and they are not perfect or infallible people.

~Love, RAS~
