"Blessings rain down on me everywhere...
Add more joys to a heart where joy already prevails.

People coming through in the right time and place,
To lend helping hands when there wasn't a trace...
Of even the remotest possibility,
That rainbows were there ~ stormy clouds did I see!

Events and kind deeds just came pouring on me,
Like the clouds opened up and all heaven could be...
Washing down over me like a lovely sweet dream.
Lift me past seeming trials like a broom sweeping clean.

Blessings so wonderful, so incredibly clear...
Not a clandestine whisper, not a straining to hear.
No, a thunderous roar of sweet happenings...
That the mind sits up straight, returns from its wanderings.

There are times in this life when the forces for Good...
Are quite obvious in your life, in your soul, in your world.
Rainbows fill up your sky, tapestry sparkling bright...
Light up all of your days, blending through to your nights.

Treasured dear to my heart, blessings great and divine...
Received gratefully, then passed on in their time."

Can a home builder proceed efficiently without interfacing with the
architect? The head can run off on its own without understanding the

heart and they work together harmoniously, you will put your house in

Shallow men believe in luck, believe in circumstances -- it was somebody's
name, or he happened to be there at the time, or it was so then, and another
day would have been otherwise. Strong men believe in cause and effect.

We may as well face it: the history of planet Earth
has not been seen as conducive to supporting
original, loving, joyous abundance. Yet it is
available for every individual who has the courage
to go for it. How? Certainly not by blaming or by
making them wrong or the source of your pain.

In order to awaken and activate the original you,
you can start by accepting that the primary
relationship in your life is with yourself. You can
also realize that each of your emotional responses is
yours to own and that you determine your attitude.

What power you have! What a magnificent being
you are! Are you willing and courageous enough to
claim it?

" The experiences along the way are not enlightenment.
If you don't see lights or meet remarkable beings on
other planes, or if your body doesn't shake or if you
don't feel the greatest peace... just keep going.
To compare yourself to others is to forget the uniqueness
of your own journey. "

Journey of Awakening

Looking back, we can see where we've been.

When we're in transit, growing psychologically, we're not
always sure where we are. In fact, we may frequently be
confused, wondering why we're experiencing unrest,
apprehension, or uneasiness. We hack through the
emotional underbrush, clearing the way so we can advance,
but we may not know where the path leads. We may lose
sight of familiar landmarks, but we press on, hoping we're
moving forward.

Transitional periods in our recovery come when we make
important changes. We give up the security of a familiar job
for a new one with more potential and challenge. We move
out of a relationship that is detrimental to our growth. We
undergo a powerful experience that alters our philosophical
outlook on life.

Going through a transitional stage is like climbing a hill.
There comes a time when we reach the top, turn around and
look behind at the terrain we've covered, and recognize the
progress we've made. It's a good feeling.

If I'm not sure where I am today, I will take time to look
back and appreciate the progress I've made.

There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park. Everyone
passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad. Dressed in a
worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the
people go by. She never tried to speak; she never said a word. Many people
passed but no one would stop.

The next day I decided to go back to the park in curiosity to see if the
little girl would still be there. Yes, she was there, right in the very spot
as she was yesterday, and still with the sad look in her eyes. Today I was
to make my own move and walk over to the little girl. For as we all know, a
park full of strange people is not a place for young children to play alone.
As I got closer I could see the back of the little girl's dress was
obscenely shaped. I figured that was the reason people just passed by and
made no effort to help. Deformities are a low blow to our society and,
heaven forbid if you make a step toward assisting someone who is different.
As I
got closer, the little girl lowered her eyes slightly to avoid my intent

As I approached her, I could see the obscene shape of her back more clearly.
She was grotesquely shaped in a humped-over form I smiled to let her know it
was OK, I was there to help, to talk. I sat down beside her and opened with
a simple Hello. The little girl acted shocked, and stammered a "hi," after
a long stare into my eyes. I smiled and she shyly smiled back. We talked
until darkness fell and the park was completely empty. I asked the girl why
she was so sad. The little girl looked at me and with a sad face said,
"Because I'm different." I immediately said, "That you are!" and smiled.
The little girl acted even sadder and said, "I know." "Little girl," I
said, "you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent. She looked at me and

Slowly she got to her feet and said, "Really?" "Yes, you're like a little
Guardian Angel sent to watch over all those people walking by." She nodded
her head yes, and smiled. With that she spread her wings and said, "I am.
I'm your Guardian Angel," with a twinkle in her eye. I was speechless, sure
I was seeing things. She said, "For once you thought of someone other than
yourself. My job here is done." I got to my feet and said, "Wait. So why
did no one stop to help an angel?" She looked at me and smiled, "You're the
only one that could see me," and then she was gone. And with that, my life
was changed dramatically. So, when you think you're all you have, remember,
your angel is always watching over you.

Let others know you're glad they care about you ... like the story says, we
all need someone. Every one of your friends is an Angel in their own way.
The value of a friend is
measured in the heart.

Do It Now!

In a class I teach for adults, I gave the assignment to
"go to someone you love, and tell them that you love them."
At the beginning of the next class, one of the students
began by saying, "I was angry with you last week when you
gave us this assignment. I didn't feel I had anyone to say
those words to. But as I began driving home my conscience
started talking. Then I knew exactly who I needed to say `I
love you' to. Five years ago, my father and I had a vicious
disagreement and never really resolved it. We avoided seeing
each other unless we absolutely had to at family gatherings.
We hardly spoke. So by the time I got home, I had convinced
myself I was going to tell my father I loved him.
"Just making that decision seemed to lift a heavy load
off my chest.
"At 5:30, I was at my parents' house ringing the
doorbell, praying that Dad would answer the door. I was
afraid if Mom answered, I would chicken out and tell her
instead. But as luck would have it, Dad did answer the door.
"I didn't waste any time - I took one step in the door
and said, `Dad, I just came over to tell you that I love
"It was as if a transformation came over my dad. Before
my eyes his face softened, the wrinkles seemed to disappear
and he began to cry. He reached out and hugged me and said,
`I love you too, son, but I've never been able to say it.'
"But that's not even my point. Two days after that
visit, my dad had a heart attack and is in the hospital. I
don't even know if he'll make it.
"So my message to all of you is this: Don't wait to do
the things you know need to be done. What if I had waited to
tell my dad? Take the time to do what you need to do and do
it now!"

and we have eternity,

to be Love."
