Hi Tw. I'm glad you're back - I think you've been really disciplined - as you see, I can't manage cold turkey yet.
I can't comment on the above, as I dont really know the story - but I know what you meant about your barain needing a rest - sometmes things are insistent and cluttered in your mind you just cant think straight.
Anyay lovely to see you - I missed you!

Well, Tw, I wish I could be more help, but I'm afraid right now I'm not able to think straight about anything. No - nothing has happened but I'm just very 'flat' and a bit depressed. I got to thinking about my first husband - we stuck it out for twenty six years. When we finally gave up my younger son was devastated I think. The older one coped better, he was twenty or so at the time. Poor lads they had had a terrible time.

Funny though my elder son brought me a cd of 'The Who by Numbers' last week. It was popular in the seventies. He's so sweet, he came across it and thought I'd like it. I just can't listen to it. I put it on but the tracks just took me straight back and I just burst into tears wondering how we got it all so wrong.

Sounds like you've had a long time of frustration. I think though there comes a time when it feels right to get out. With us or rather - me, it happened quite suddenly. I made up my mind one night, after a particularly bad few days, and the following morning I'd decided to get a divorce. I set it in motion straight away, and I never wavered.
What you describe sounds like the right thing for you too. I'm glad you feel relieved by it. Have you got 'mates' to talk to? I found them invaluable. You need to take care of your boys - sounds patronising I know, sorry - (and you sound good at it if I may say so) I think children seem like they are grown up and coping on the surface, particularly as they don't want to make things worse for you - but adolescence is a bad time for family changes. Oh, I feel so sorry for you - yes I've been there, done taht and worn the T-shirt, all right.

Twinks,

I was diagnosed as suffering from and OCD personality after a late term pregnancy miscarriage. The thought process is that there are some people who are born with it, and it can remain dormant (sometimes for an entire life), and then a stress trigger can happen and set it off.

Let me tell you, it was the worst eight months of my life when that happened. It was finally through my wonderful family Dr. that I was properly diagnosed AND treated. There is help for your husband out there. My husband, who you know I love more than life itself, and who treats me like a Queen - we were on the verge of a divorce things had gotten so bad. That was 12 years ago, and since being diagnosed and treated, life has been good.

Please, encourage your husband to get help, it is out there.

Z.

Hmm, Sorry. Sounds like I'm being really negative - I'd better shut up!
