Oh my bleep....
HOLY BLEEP!!!!
Okay... Hubs and I ate dinner together at his work, he ordered chinese food, so we met there. His mom calls, becasue we were literally shoveling it in and had our mouths FULL he didnt pick up the cell. so a mement later she called back, stating she called home and "AW must be ignoring me too becasue the phone just rang and rang and rang..."
((He doesnt know I heard this.)
and he said well, she's sitting right next to me we're eating and had a mouth full of food a second ago when you called, whats up?"

So they talked, I was still eating.....
Apparently we "had to" go over there after we were done eating to pick up some paperwork for the trip to california in a week.
Ok, thats fine, whatever....
Soooo, we get there... and there is a binder.
a 2 inch , 3 ring binder.. FULLLLLLLLL of a step-by step itinerary, with maps, directions , lists of "incidentals and meals" prices per day per person, as wel as a list of some other crap.
This thing has about 500 pages in it, all put together by MR.inlaw, at the demand of Mom in law.and they made us sit there and go through it with them........from 6-10PM
Then we got to hear about how mom in law is in a panic because she doesnt think her son (who lives in a van/camper..in a park with his wife and dogs is going to feed us, or have anything planned......

Ummmmmm, LOLOL I said"well, the tour of their house shouldnt take to long, after that, lokks like we'll wing it."
dad in law laughed but was stifled my a glare i wasnt meant ot see.(sort of)

Then she made some comment about what were doing on Mothers day, and If she should make dinner plans, since I dont want then there that long.... and she looked at me when she said this... but it was said with such a sugar glazed tone It surely wasnt meant as a jab, or anything like that.. oooooh, nooooo, Im over reacting ro her passive aggressive bleep.

Needless to say... I have filled my prescription of Xanax yesterday, adn will carry that in my pocket the whole trip.

My goodness what have I gotten my self into???

hee hee, AW

Just hang on to your sense of humor, girl-friend, sounds like you're gonna need it.

A few years ago, I went on a road trip with my dad and my 2 little girls. It was the roadtrip from hell. By the time we were on our way home after a week, I was in tears and swearing to myself, "Nevermore!!!!"

So, tell me, was there a mention of going to the carousel in that 500 page itinerary? LOL, sounds pretty anal. Don't think you will have time to breathe! (heavy sigh)

Would've been nice to meet ya'tatoos and all.... LOL

Hang in there, hon.

Love ya,

bonita ((((((((((AW)))))))))))

Where is Toddles gonna stay??? Pet motel???

Bon-Bon & Ras~~
(((((((((((Hugs))))))))))

after a good night's sleep, I've relaxed a little...

I was in shock.
I know dad-in-law has been bored off his ghord, so making the trip book was a big project for him, and this is a big trip for them.
I am thrilled that they want to do this, and their hearts are certainly in the right place....
((just not sure where their heads are)) LOL up their you know whats.

Im sure I'll have a minute to check out the carousel in Santa Monica... But i better check the book to see what minute I'll have free... LOL

perhaps It's only bee nmy person al experience that i learned to not really make plans like that in the past, becasue "something" always happens, and my plans usually need a major readjustment.. and they havent travelled so much.. this is thier "big trip" I dont think they've really been too far aside from little road trips since thier honey moon to europe, as that was brought up about 2454657876453times last night, by mom in law.
Hee-hee, It was nice to see dad in law resond and stand up for him self last night though.
M-in-L kept saying how they had alll lthese travel guides and brochures and they didnt use them once, adn she just wants a plan this time ((she kinda went off a little, i thought her head was gunna pop for a second))
And D-in-L said We ended up seeing a lot of things we NEVER would have seen in any brochure, adn had a great time!!!
Poor guy.He then looked at me and described a few "neat" little tucked away places they saw in france and England... So,

I will be going a lot of deep breathhing.. and TRY t oremind them WHY they are takingthe trip, adn make the best of it.... got all of my venting out right away.. wont be packing it ((LOL))and we'll have a wonderful time...darnitt!!!
lolol...
I know J and I have both been known to be "the mediator" in certain circles... so I have a feeling we'll be fine. We have to meet his sister in some airport I think in D.C. and then fly out together (not memorizing anything .. I have a biga&* book to check )LOL

Kittie is staying with Gramda (My mom) andMy 1st son Juan the cat. I got a bag of food, and will pack up his favorite toys and favorite shoe box/bed to bring to grammma's.

lololROFL I KNOW thats going to be an interesting week at that house. Dont know how kittie will be when I get back, as Juan the cat doesnt really like other kitties, hes a total mams boy, but tries to act all big n bad .. but maybe he'll be good to Toddles. My mom already has this plan To keep them seperated.. Now I should set up video cameras in her house to watch when i get back!!!

Oh goodness!!!!!!!!!!
Still not sure what to make for mother's day mac n cheese on wheat thins... coffe and tea in "to-go" mugs??? ok.ok.ok...ive vented enough for this morning....
"Happy Saturday"
LOVE,
AW

Hi AW,

Sorry, but I just had to laugh. I could just picture that long meeting with mom-in-law. Good grief..!!

Sounds like her hubby appreciates your sense of humor, though, and that's good.

Maybe the son lives in a van/camper so he can make a quick get-a-way if need be.. LOL.

Hi AW: You are just so funny. I am sure you will have a good time wherever you go. You'll need to send a post card from everywhere you go to the in-laws- they'll stay busy reading them and maybe they can make a scrapbook of them for you (that ought to keep them busy!)

If you're going to the carousel in Santa Monica, check out Third Street Promenade for a stroll- just watch out for 80 year old men driving near the Farmer's Market!. Venice Beach is always interesting for people watching (we've got some wild ones out here in CA)- you could rent some skates and join in. The new Getty is awesome- there's even a view if there's no smog! Kayaking or paddling in Marina del Rey is fun- check out how the other half lives- lots of yachts, etc. Just watch out for jellyfish. Its been a little cold lately- don't forget your sweater ( I'm sure mom in law wrote that for you somewhere- check the appendix!) And don't forget to bring a book and some snacks in case you get stuck in traffic (you will!) on our wonderful 405 freeway. Oh, L. A. is a great place.
