LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY THE BREATHS WE TAKE BUT BY THE MOMENTS THAT TAKE OUR BREATH AWAY.

I just bought a book by Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman. It is the book with the CD of Tim McGraw's "Live like you were dying." The words to that song are an inspiration for me.

The following is on one of the pages of the book:

You know... I realized that I was so quick to tell everyone else they should chase their DREAMS; They could FLY as high as they wanted; There was nothing they couldn't do; That a WHOLE NEW LIFE was waiting for them to live. But I had never given that advice to myself.......

I have this book from Javan and it is called meet me halfway I have been wanting to share some of the things in it awsome.. Just wanted it to be known who the book is by so I am not trying to claim anything but share..

"It's not easy to be honest, When you can use someone to fullfill a need."

I've often wondered

Why I loved you

With nothing in return

But an occasional smile

And a gentle word

Enough to keep me hanging on

Hoping that love might grow

And I couldn't help but know

A feeling of relief

When finally it was over

I frequently ask myself

Can something really be over

That never really began

I'm not a good poet, I don't know much about poetry at all, lol. My g/f likes it though. Did you read any of her poetry?

UNBURDENING
Like a can of wiggly worms
intertwined and repulsive,
my worries surface
and nibble at my peace of mind.

I cannot run to where they are not.
I've tried but the
part of me that they are
will travel too.

I don't want to dissolve
my worries in alcohol,
Nor send them up in smoke...tobacco,
or otherwise.
Yet nothing I devise
seems to work.

Now I'm hearing
a new message.
At least, new to me.
One has come to lift the load-
sacrificially.

Dare I trust?
I think I must.

Anon.

Rumi - Guest House

This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the sham, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

A stay true to yourself poem

Truth is spoken thru the open mind of a human,
For those seeking wisdom and knowledge of,
Is the true belief we all believe,
Lying inside is much like crying inside,
Much like dying inside,
I’ve been dead for so long,
You can fool yourself and others,
But when the fooling stops,
So comes the grief , with no relief,
So goes the truth and knowledge,
So goes truth to others,
So goes truth to most of all,
Yourself.

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

-Albert Einstein

(Sometimes I feel we're all great minds we just have to learn how to silence some of our inner demons (i.e. co-dependent tendencies).

I want to fly away and start a new dream,
To feel it breathe it so real as it seems,
With hope everlasting,
All of the former things passing,
To feel the wind in my face,
To land and survey a new place,
So wide open and full of space,
To grow so, to know so,
Much of that I have learned,
Never having to sacrifice,
My soul of life,
Never again to sacrifice twice,
For selfish thoughts,
To become selfless,
And never settle for nothing less,
But to give all,
My very best,

The Way His Will Works.

The one who looks to me for strength,
Is not not without my own,

The one who calls to me for peace,

Finds quietude is sown,

The one who reaches for my hand,

Will never walk alone,

The one who comes to me for love,

His heart is made my Home.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

a return to love - Marianne Williamson

FOR WOMEN IN HERE!!! Lyrics as nice as the song.

I am woman by Ray Burton - Helen Reddy - 1971

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much
To go back an' pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna
Keep me down again
I am strong / strong
I am invincible / invincible
I am woman / woman

*** repeat ***
Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything

You can bend but never break me
'Cause it only serves to make me
More determined
To achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'Cause you've deepened
The conviction in my soul

* Oh yes I am wise

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms
Across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my
Brother understand

* Oh yes I am wise

Ray Burton - Helen Reddy

Believe In Yourself
By Bruce Wilmer

Believe in yourself
To the depth of your being
Nourish the talents
Your spirit is freeing

Know in your heart
When the going gets slow
That your faith in yourself
Will continue to grow

Don't forfeit ambition
When others may doubt
It's your life to live –
You must live it throughout

Learn from your errors –
Don't dwell in the past
Never withdraw
From a world that is vast

Believe in yourself:
Find the best that is you
Let your spirit prevail:
Steer a course that is true.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I thought it was cute
