Can you suggest how to become more assertive in the workplace?

How do you confront conflict in the workplace in an assertive professional manner?

Hmmmmm. Have one jerky boss out of three. He likes to delgate the things that are his responsibility.

Assertive and porfessional.. Calm and logical.. Anger..or assertive ness never relies on swearing.

If someone is pushing you around or demanding something respond with "I'll have to get back to you on that"

If its out of your control....its out of your contral don't worry about it and tell coworkers just that..."Its out of my control"

You stary colm for the moment and scream later in private about the dummies.

just don't lett them walk over you.

Robing,

Be sure to listen to all that is being said before you say anything as well. Active listening can really help to solve a lot of the communication break down. Then you will be able to respond in a way that you feel best informed. Also, be sure to remain calm, and don't use the word, YOU, when you are addressing the situation. Speak in the "I" term. Tell the other person(s) how the situatiion is making you feel and not what it is that the other person(s) is/are doing wrong. Do you follow? For example; I really don't like it when things are dumped on me all at once. I wonder how we could work out this situation so that I am given things to do at a level at which I can tolerate and be productive. I hope this helps. Take care.
