Sure helps to break the denial. At first I am sure the rage at the whole mess is a difficult beginning, but obviously something needs to be done dramaticaly to stop the cycle. In most instances across the country there are groups for anger management that may help to unlock the "what happened", as well as situational behavior lessons to break the habits. These groups are usually court mandated, vs just lock them up and let them go home again. Remember it takes two, rarely is it all just the fault of one. If it isjust one that goes off like a crazy loon, the victim continues the problem by staying, there is just to much information, and support out there for them to carry on with this behavior in the home.

to be blunt ...NO

If a woman is a batterer...her butt should be in jail.

When has hitting anyone else solved a problem?

I agree with Molly.

I should always just post after her and say "ditto"

If you get hit, or abused verbally/emotionally --you should not stay there. You should leave. There is not enough security in these types of situations to condone staying.

Molly...when are going on vacation?

Do you like bookstores and beer but not nec. at the same time?
