Well, after 1.5 yrs of therapy, it has come out that I have never been in love. I was always starving for that love that my parents never gave me(i thought they did), however come to find out my thought of being in love was NOT. It was a big find deep inside me and understand why we are the way we are. My parents are still married(39yrs) and I now have a better relationship with them because I have told them everything that I have been going through. They are giving me full support and now I can see the love coming out now. Is it because everybody has matured? I don't know. Well, it has been 6 months since I found out that I was always in LUST with my partner and not in LOVE. Now I am ready to move on. I want to say I am ready to find love, however, I am going to let nature take its course. Nature is taking its course now. I met someone to whom I went to Jr high school with. Read thread "AFTER 26 YRS, WE CAME TOGETHER". What I am getting at, the other day, we were talkn and she told me, after going through 4yrs of therapy, I have never been in love before. I was always in LUST. After she told me that, I knew we are on the same level and that the intimacy is great. We are taking one day at a time. Will this be our first love? Only time will take us to our dreams.

That's a smart question Dude. I read your other thread and responded to you.

Your journey of healing is very similar to mine. My mother was workaholic unaffectionate one and my dad became co-dep on her behaviour. Unfortunately we kids are the ones who swallow the bait and suffer the consequences.

I did not confront my parents about the emotional abuse but have been keeping them in my prayers. However, I've noticed a magnifecent change in attitude toward me from both of them. Now both of them respect like they have never b4. Praise the Lord!

I like you am not worried about finding Mr. Right. In fact I stopped falling in love b/c each time I have a crush or love at 1st sight, I get disappointed and disillusioned so I am keeping all this to HP at His perfect timing.

I pray that you Dude & your new sweetheart will find true romance and fulfillment with each other!
