Can anyone give me some good examples of why outreach support is more beneficial than in office clinical support. Perhaps you can direct me towards resourses that cover this question.

Often those in need due to depression, or lack of awareness will not get what they need. Be it medical or mental, it makes it easier for the individual in need be aware of services available, who takes the time to explore various services unless they are in your face ? Say a junkie walks by a poster day after day, when he decides to seek treatment, he will remember the poster, or the fellow on the corner that gave him the card. he most likely wouldn't look it up in the phone book.
