Lita - how are you?

I used the treadmill today too!

I have bad feet - and so I can't do alot - so I am only able to do 10-15 minutes at a time.

I tried 20 this weekend - at a higher speed - but felt it for two days - NOT worth it.

So, back down to 10-15 and at a slightly lower speed.

making getting new sneakers a priority.

Yes Lita I did my workouts yesterday. As for today I haven't YET. Hopefully, I will do them. But in case I act naughty, I will notify you here. Do not worry.

I start feeling guilty if i dont workout, its wierd if i dont iam thinking i should be. And i just feel really good when i do.

Ras -

I reward myself when I workout.

I get a quarter for every 10 minutes I walk on my treadmill.

Sounds silly, but I am SERIOUSLY out of shape, so ten minutes is enough for me to do without feeling "overwhelmed"...plus there is an incentive to do more - to earn more.

At the end of the month, I use the money to buy ME something nice - and if I exercise, I may need new clothes, so it will be good to have that savings.

Also, I talk myself into doing it by reminding myself how good it makes me feel....reward the positive instead of beating yoruself up for the negative.

Alice - That's a brilliant idea and I figure that I will adopt it!!!

Lita - Let's adopt Alice's method. It will really keep us motivated whenever we feel lax.

What do you think Lita? Huh

As of tonite I will do that. And we when have accomplished our mission, we can reward ourselves.

So, I am off to do my workouts!!!

alicat, That is a wonderful idea. Iam going to try that to. Thats why I love you. Because you have always motivated me to be better and do better thank you , I did work out today Ras, I have to admit I was thinking about putting it off till tomorrow. But, I did workout , I do this walk awy the pounds dvd and iam doing the 2 mile walk. I dont know if you have heard of that one before. I wonder what my reward will be first ? Yes, I've done my workouts last nite and I will do them tonite as well and put some coins in jar.

No Lita, I haven't heard about
them, the 2 mile walk. But I heard about Pilates tho I don't do them. I do some Callanetics and I like them.

May be we can start a thread about Pilates and see what can folks tell us about them.

So hopefully tonite I will do my workouts.

We can reward ourselves with anything we need. May be some grocery stuff to me at least. I don't need clothes right now.

Perhaps you we can reward ourselves with a good book that helps us with codep or any other soulsearching issues, Coffee at starbuck with good book or with gf, or a treat to my kitty.

The choice is vast. Think Lita of something you need or perhaps for your kids.

I will post back to you if I did or did not do my workout tonite. So we will see!!!

Ras, I did my workout today my legs are sore. pilates is something i have been interested in has well i wonder if anyone know anything about it. I also have been thinking about trying yoga. Iam so proud of you keep up yhe good work BABY!

I am so proud of you as well. Well, Lita I started a thread yesterday about Pilates so you can check it out. Yes, I would like to try yoga as well. I heard that it helps you to de-stress.

I did my workout last nite and will do them tonite.

okay guys, I lounged in bed, then ran out the door to get my hair done - now I am reading this thread and inspired to get on the treadmill today - was going to skip it.

Thanks for keeping this incentive alive!

off I got...see you in a while!

oh - and I have heard of walk away the pounds - but anything that I have to do on my feet is something I have to be careful with - I am only doing about half a mile right now (I also weigh around 230, so carry too much weight).....I also have some videos that I am going to commit to trying - they are using a "half round" ball - so I don't have to lie on my back - cuz I have some kind of back condition that makes me temporarily parazlyzed if I lay flat on my back on a hard surface or mat....so I have to do something else for back exercises....but NEED to strengthen my back and abs.

Ras, Alicat, Hi ladies how are my 2 favorite people on the planet. Well i have started doing a kick boxing class i do at night. And then i been doing 2 miles a day doing the walk away the pounds tape. Iam trying to mix things up so i dont get tired of doing one thing. I find i do have more energy to play wih my boys iam really feeling good about doing this i workout with my mom. And we have alot of fun just making fun of each other in a fun way you know. Iam 5ft3in does anyone know what my target weight should be. I weigh 145. Iam glad were all friends here i never tell my weight lol. Cant wait to here from you guys !

What you're doing is AWESOME!!! Way to go! That will make you become more energetic and thus have more time to spend and play with the kids which is great.

I've never joined a gym, I don't know why. I think I get intimidated by the number of machines they have, but I might consider that in the future.
