Well i know it is the New Year and i wonder if anyone has already done something they regret this year? Or broken a New years resolution ? Just thought it would be an interesting question.

I regret not getting my act together SOONER!

I am on top of the world and none of my resolutions are broken and I am even adding things to the list as I go along.

I wish I had found zoloft sooner and gotten my head together sooner...that's my old regret.

Lita, good question and I think one I have been avoiding asking of myself!

I regret not keeping my focus on ME and taking care of my own growth, of still working to earn others aproval at my own expense.

It feels good to write that though, aknowleging it just makes me want to work on it more.

Hasn't everyone done something they regretted this year? Maybe not..I guess I regret quite a few,one being the way I've not taken care of myself.

Hfc, Thats why i asked this question , I know we all have done something we have not been to happy about. You know, But you have got to find some kind of time for yourself. No matter what it is . Be good to yourself because i have learned you cant count on someone else to do it for you . I know you can do it start out small you know draw your self a big bubble bath , light some candles, listen to some soft music. try it its a start .

Today, I don't feel like doing my workouts too. Another day for naughty me! I will forgive myself, it's not a big deal as long as I do them on the other days. Sometimes there are days when we're just not in the mood of doing something.

ras, Iam with you on that one. I did workout today. But i didnt monday. I have a funny question. If you are trying to change how you eat and trying to eat a little more healthy . Is oatmeal good for you for breakfast or is it fatty? Iam just curious.

Hey Lita - gotta jump in on this one - yes, oatmeal is a great way to start the day...even better with protein powder, or perhaps an egg on the side.

A few years ago, I followed a "diet" - actually just an eating plan - in Muscle and Fitness Hers magazine, and oatmeal was featured as the optimum breakfast. Let me tell you, all that protein and the workout REALLY worked - I was BUFF.

Oatmeal is good cuz it doesn't have "useless" carbs like regular cereal; it offers some protein and lots of fiber.

So, enjoy!

whole oatmeal is good for you.

processed is not.

try to get the irish cut or whole grain ones - or, at minimum, the quaker oats you have to cook - not the instant - the instant is garbage cuz it's been processed and will just go thru your body like nothing.

add "natural" flavorings - like an all-fruit jelly, applesauce or a little honey or sugar free maple syrup to keep it healthy - avoid the preflavored ones.

Thanks D dog and Alic!!!

Yes, I agree Lita with them. I buy them from the grocery and add them to my soups, though I am not sure if they are the healthy ones as Alic suggested.

Alic, how can we tell the difference if oats are processed or not? There are 2 types at my sotre: small ones, big ones.

the longer you have to cook it, the more "unprocessed" it is. guess that's the easiest way to tell.

anything you have to add water to, is instant and best to avoid it.

Then I guess mine are unprocessed!

I once used the instant ones with cinnamon and apple and did not like them.

Thanks Alic! XOXOXO

Hey Ras - add an E to how you abbreviated my name and you got my real name - which is a family name - goes back GENERATIONS.

anyway, my screen names are always alicat (which is my nickname from childhood - although spelled differently) or ali and my bday.

So, if you visit any other boards and see an alicat, it may just be me.

makes it simple and there isn't too many women named alice with a birthday 9/7/71 - but I have found a few.

my boss hates my using aol instant messenger at work - but I use it at home - but only use hotmail as my email - cuz it's free - and have had it since I started using the internet seven years ago.

i'm rambling and not sure why...lol.

So I will call you Alice from now on!

Alice in wonderland! How cute! I love that story and all kids stories.

Lita, let's keep this thread going. I want to track my progress when it comes to how often I do my workouts.
I want to stop being Naughty!

I am glad you're adopting healthy choices when it comes to your eating habits. It's crucial to our life and all these elements: Spirit, soul and body interwine. You can not separate them from each other.

Keep up the great work!!!

I'm being more "generic" in my resolution. I want to have more discipline. To be open to correction by God. Ready and willing to take it and fix it or be fixed.
