Any "emotional" eaters out there?

Hi all! I've always been an emotional eater, you know, into the comfort food thing, but now that I've distanced myself from my co-dependent relationship, I'm eating more. Its like I substituted one thing for the other. I'm starting to gain more weight..yikes!

Does anyone have any tips on how to handle this? I've been trying to diet, but when I start feeling sad, lonely, its back to the frig!

You really know what to do, and that is to commit to different behaviors. Get all that comfort food out of the fridge and into the trash, and just don't buy any more, this is no different than quitting smoking, or drinking. Just say no and commit. Substitute by jogging in place, going for a walk, find a meeting for overeaters A. go to coda, pick up a book, start to write in your journal, about your feelings, and your new start. Love your self, do good things for you that serve you. you are a winner, and can do this.
