I have (had) this friend who was totally cool when we actually hung out but very rarely made the effort to make plans. I live right below her in our building so I have always tried to be friendly. She told me she was moving back to baltimore and I wrote her an email to let her know I would love to hang out before she goes. She texted me back saying how she really needed me to shut up about baltimore on her work email because they didn't know she was leaving. I told her I was sorry and she hasn't spoken to me since. Last night, our fire alarms went off so we were all huddled outside and I talked to her and asked her how she had been. She actually ignored me. Literally didn't say a word. three people were looking at us like "what the heck is going on with them?" But the point is, am I a mind reader. If she didn't want me emailing her work, she should have said something ahead of time. Can she really be that pissed because of a miscommunication? I have realized she is not someone I would want to be friends with because she is so dramatic and rude but that is rediculous. Thoughts anyone?

Well, that's crazy behavior! No wonder the other people were wondering "what the heck is going on." She gave you her email, right? Would you act like that to her if she emailed you?

If someone sent me an email at work as a gesture of friendship and I did not want them talking about my future plans, I think I would have just texted, emailed, or phoned and say something like shhhhhh, they don't know yet, don't talk about this here, but yeah, I'd like to hang out for awhile.

I wouldn't pay any further attention to her. I'd be glad she is moving.

She sounds rude and she sounds like she has a hard time letting stuff go...she sounds like too much hard work! I wouldn't bother making any more effort with this one...she has her own issues, best to let her figure it out herself.

Here is what is so nuts about the whole thing. She complained every time that we were together how she never got to have girl time but then every time I offered she would flake. Its so misleading. Plus she is the only one that I know in this town now. I am ok with that. I have been drawing a lot but thats so rude. I would really like to tell her off but I know that is not going to accomplish anything.
