OK, you've got my attention. I do not like your attitude. You've been sarcastic to people who are looking for good advice, you've been harsh and judgemental to people who are coming forward to say that they want to fix themselves, and the topper for me is that you just told someone that cutting themselves is normal, asking what their favorite knife is, and then condescendingly telling them to go and get some medication, and everything will be hunky dory.

I suggest you chill out, reread your posts, reread the guidelines, and be damn sure that you are following them before you click that button the next time you post.

Thanks Ginger.

I was just about to address anng, and then saw this thread.

anng - it's very important to follow and read the site guidelines. Some of your posts sound hurtful rather than helpful. And many sound judgmental rather than open-minded.

I ask that you only post on this thread for the time being and talk to us about this before posting on any other threads.

Thanks, Site Coordinator

Opinions are great, but it's the presentation of the opinion that needs to be offered in a supportive and non-threatening fashion. Sometimes it's also important when offering advice or an opinion to give a more detailed (wordy) post to better explain yourself/get your point effectively to others.

Posting a one line piece of feedback like the one I example below leaves us all confused and possibly feeling "further abused?"... for example, in the post below, I am reading from this short and confusing post that you don't have compassion for Tinkerbell, instead, the post sounds like you're saying, "Hey, it's okay, go ahead and cut yourself. Just go get some pills and you'll be all better."

I'm not saying that's what your post means... I'm saying it could be read that way by many people here.

At All About Counseling, we must follow Guideline #1 very closely: Respect * Support * Feedback. And if it takes a longer, more time consuming typed response to do that, then we must do so.

The below post on Tinkerbell's thread about cutting, is an example of what I'm referring to:

"I really want to cut myself again"

its perfecly normal to cut yourself whats your favorite knife ????? shrink.....medication youll be okey

______________

Can you tell us what that above post means in a more detailed fashion?

Site Coordinator: Thank you for being so watchful over this site. I have watched over the past months and was very impressed with the compassion and sincerity that you have with the members. You put up with a lot sometimes. It makes me feel safer knowing that you are watching out over things. When I read Anng's post I also had major concerns. It brought back memories of other posts that have been here in the past. Thank you for your protection over the feelings and emotions of those who choose to participate here.
