Bel,

Try it the next time you are around someone you think of as "together" or snobbish. It will make you laugh and see them in a whole new light. It works every time. When my grandmother was dying(a proud, arrogant woman) I would help her to the bathroom to do her morning chores. She was so strong and powerful, I never thought of her as having natural bodily functions. She seemed so goddess-like to me. And when she asked me to help pluck the little dark hairs from her chin...wow, I finally realized she was a woman just like me(yes, I have to pluck, too!). When you see people in that light they are so UN-intimidating.

Thank you for the nurturing. I can't really remember a time where my mother just held me in her arms while I cried. You know, just held me and brushed her hands over my hair, murmuring...hush, hush, it will be alright. Oh, do I need it now!

But Bel...you didn't tell us what else you might need?

GST,

I have a bunch of prayers...am sending you one now...open up, here it comes...

EVE,

Are you saying you have some advice to share? I'll take some advice and give you, uh....applause...how about that? For helping me...

Just as an aside...then we can go back to the game...what is everybody? I'm a Scorpio. Just my ever-questioning mind? Guess that means I have some curiousity to share...

Hi Kitten,

Aquarius. Air sign, needs to help fire roar! Likes the warmth, can't burn air . . . Aries is best I think.

Always intrigued.

Hello Kitten, Hello Eve,

My sister is libra - and always plagued by balance. Plagued because I thinks she prefers to just settle back and "feel" balanced emotionally (almost dependant) with respect to her next in line husband but the reality is she will need to do more work - ah well, so life goes on.

Ohhhhhh, ouchhhhhhh, you ask about the problem. I have been treated very unfairly by a client who for some reason decided I was his adversary rather than help. This is someone who has been loyal for 10 years. Now the account became turned over to a new person and because of the price increase I am being looked at as the fall guy - I have nothing to do with that part.

But I can help them understand the options they have and they have jumped ship to bring in other people to look at the situation. There is no reason to do this. There is nothing else they can do that I can't do. There is no reason why they shouldn't want to review this further with me, there is no reason why I should be treated with such prejudice But I am!.

I faxed a special letter outlining my concerns with a request for the curtesy of at least a final review. That's the phone call I'm waiting for. It hasn't come yet. It may not even come. Even after I get the phone call, I know I will be on pins and needles during the conversation becuase of the importance of the account.

So I am mustering up all the sanity I can, hoping I understand where the conversation will go and what I will say to overcome this new prejudice. It is like walking on egg shells. I upped my medication and am just hanging on.

So. That's the details. So I will be strong and concentrate on sanity. I think that is best.

Bye

ps Kitten

Ha Ha! No not hot air but ideas, yes and air that waits to be warmed. But, alas, becuase of that also the "space cadet" of the zodiac. Only another Aquarian understands this.

gst,

maybe this third party coming into the relation you have to your client is a chance for mediation rather than a sign of rejection of your work.

I mean: clients are important for the business, so your employer "has to" cater to his demands, but loyal and content employees also are vital for any company. Don't wait for a telephone call that may or may not come, make an appointment and get your boss to answer to your questions. Be prepared to see the other side, too; but don't take the blame for something that you didn't do wrong.

Best luck to you, and I send you some job satisfaction, for future use 🙂

Eve

Hi VRJ -
I'll gladly take it.

(By the way I told someone in Rusia that you said the winters are worse in Canada - I'm still waiting for their response.)

You know, you hear about every body's problems and so it's like that should make it feel better. But I don't know. It still really hurts and so you say to yourself, "you are just feeling sorry for yourself" and so that conversation keeps going around. In any event, I know if I'm stong enough for others I can be strong enough for me.

It's really ok. Just moments here and mements there from the waiting. You feel almost sick to your stomach but it stops and you pull yourself back together. Resilience. Yes, I think that is important.

man, do I have resilience - take some.
well, it's about 20 below here today. The coldest it gets is about -35 but that's rare. In the summer it can get up to 100F.
try to think of your problems as opportunities to learn something and the pain as growing pains.

Hi VRJ,

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

20 below!!!!!!!What do you wear? How can you go out? How does the heat work?

Thanks for the resilience - I'm hoarding all I can get at the moment. I just don't understand why it is so hard to figure out.

Vrj,

I have visions of you going to work on a dog sled, dressed in a big fur hat and coat...Brrrrrrrrr. Mush!

We're in the midst of a blizzard here, but it's only thirty degrees or so...not as cold as you...but plenty cold enough. It hurts just to LOOK outside. My classes are cancelled, so it's back to bed for me and my nice warm duvet.

So, I have plenty of laziness to spare today...if anyone wants any...it's not something I usually have, but I think I will enjoy it(at least for one day!).

I think I need a good dose of common sence. I went back to my ex boyfriend who has given me much heartache in the past. Why did I go back? I don't know, I want to belive in him so I am taking a chance...

And I am a capricorn.....

Talk more later.

Hi bel,

I have lots of common sense, I just don't use so it may help you more, just not sure I can really give it up. Perhaps the strength to use it though.

What do you think led you to going back with him?

Hi Kitten,

I appluad you for being able to indulge in the lazyness of the day. I think we got abou 1.5 feet. Not exactly sure though. In any event, I wouldn't mind some of your enjoyment of the day.

I tend to be able to luxuriate in things to access if you'd like though.

Bye

gst and kitten,
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
dog sleds? no, Jeep Cherokee
What do I wear? A winter coat, boots and sometimes mitts or gloves
How do I go outside? Jeez you guys are wimps. You should see when a wind gets blowing and -20 feels like -50.
How does the heat work? What do you mean? In the houses - with a furnace, in the summer - the sun gets closer and it gets hot.
Where are you guys from anyway?

VRJ,

Wimps huh? . . . but can you bask in the sun on a tropical island in the middle of the day for hours at a time sipping rum drinks through a straw?????

In any event, I only own a 3/4 length field coat - it's the heaviest I have. One winter I remember getting through with only a sweat shirt and gloves.

Does your summer ever get hot enough for air conditioning?

I'm going to mush, mush back to the tv to watch the wind blow around our 1.5 feet of snow drifts!!!

VRJ,

Wimps, eh? Maybe we only got a foot of snow today, but I was still out there shoveling. And I live in farm country...no close neighbors...lots of blowing wind. I hate the cold. I was born in the tropics, so can tolerate the heat very well. Snow is depressing, unless I'm sitting in front of a very warm fire and looking out the window. Then it is okay. The one thing I hate the most, though, is taking my Smoyed(dog) outside to the bathroom. He hates to get his feet wet and I have to shovel a "potty" area for him or he won't go at all. He is a "mush" dog that would rather be pushed than do the pulling. Perhaps he is from the tropics as well. Right now I'm sitting here under my warm blanket looking at the pages of IKEA's catalogue...my imagination running free--have lots of creative ideas to share...By the way I live in the northeast US...if you watch the weather channel you'll see we are getting hit pretty hard right now. Don't know if I'll make it to Grad school tomorrow? Hope so, I hate being trapped here!

Bel,

Capricorn...ah. My moon is in Capie. They tend to be pretty tough cookies...know what they want and don't give up too easily. Just make sure you set ground rules you can live with--but I'm sure you will. Hope your lines are up and running soon!!!

Kitten,

And it's just awful to have to get your paws wet, I know. Just kidding.

My mother is a capricorn. Sign of the goat. Very sure footed, won't take a step unless it's in the right direction, need to parent the world - tough stamina, good at business. I love her dearly . . but.

In any event - do you find you agree with the scorpio profile?

gst, yes I have air conditioning. Sometimes it gets so hot it's hard to sleep. And I have been to the Caribbean 5 times, working and holidaying in St. Lucia and Barbados as well as Mexico, Hawaii, Arizona, etc. and I have relatives in California. I prefer Margeuritas to rum though, unless it's rum punch.

As I think about it perhaps I have some adaptability to share if anyone wants some.
