Heh heh heh...

You are definitely in a precarious situation with your ex-hubby at work. I support what kc said yesterday. You aren't responsible for his feelings. There is no reason to protect him.

I like that show Average Joe--those are the kind that approach me usually. Nice, friendly, and admirably brave! Just need a little help in the image area...

LOL! Good one Frayed!!!

He's an engineer, but there is no pocket protector in sight! Unless he has it well hidden in his pocket t-shirt (under his shirt, so as not to scare off unsuspecting women, like me!).

He is cute! I would definitely go out with him. The only problem is the ex-husband. He has been talking about it NON-STOP!!! He even told me today that he is in a depression over it! Nothing has even happened!! He is already depressed because I am flirting with someone. I don't want to hurt him by flaunting a new relationship in his face (until he is in a relationship of his own)...

I know that I shouldn't care what he thinks, but I don't want to intentionally hurt him. Since HE is the one that has been harping on it, it would seem as though I am doing it to rub his nose in it... which I wouldn't be, but it would appear that way.

I know, I know... I need to worry about me! I shouldn't care what anyone else thinks or feels, etc... It's just easier said, than done!

TC

I didn't know your ex worked with you.... Is the ex husband different from the ex?

Regardles... the important word is "ex" either way.. Strike while the iron is hot, TC... Go to the engineers desk with a Rubiks Cube and ask him for some help.... Batt your eyes, etc like you explained in an earlier thread to 2B when she wanted to know how to approach a guy in the gym... That way, you will be out of the ex's line of sight..

You are a kind person, tc. I think you are being very sensitive and caring. I can't imagine working with my ex--although, I would probably be able to hate his guts because he would get on my nerves with his constant need to make a joke out of everything! AAAAArRRrGGGg.

Turns out the original guy I was interested in at the gym (the one who moved to Chicago) is gay.

So much for my "gay-dar".

Yeah, the ex-husband is different from the ex... I explained it all on one of the other threads from Wednesday... We were married to each other for 10 years, and I feel absolutely nothing for him now. Isn't that funny? Well, not laugh hysterically, fall over and pee your pants funny... just strange funny!

Anyway... I've been turning on the charm pretty heavily this week. I think that's why he's been sort of fumbling all over himself. I AM irresistable, if I do say so myself:)

I am probably just going to let it settle into the ex-husbands craw for a couple of weeks, and not make any brazen advances towards this guy. PLUS, I think it's worth it to make him sweat it out a bit! I'm worth waiting for afterall, right?

Anyway, I'm going to chill out and see what happens. No sense in rushing things. I AM on the rebound, you know!

It's so hard to tell these days with the new Metrosexual movement!!!!!

It totally throws off the signals on the Gay-dar!!!!!

Thanks, TC. You too. I will be thinking of you. Do something wonderful for yourself this weekend, you deserve it. BTW: Have you and your children seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, yet? It's awesome, and you get the endorphins without the fattening chocolate! 2b

No, I haven't seen the new Charlie/Choc Factory movie. Johnny Depp freaks me out!!!! He looks so creepy in that movie that I think it may give me nightmares!!!

I am a fan of the old Gene Wilder version...

LOL, once you hit up the snack cart on the way in, you may as well just let go and love up those calories! Twizlers are fairly low fat though, I heard, and I think gummie bears are fat free...

2b, sorry to hear about the gay guy...though it's sort of like getting the endorfines without the messy dating thing...:) All the oogle and conversation, none of the pressure.

Exotic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Flower.

I didn't want to you to think I ignored your comments regarding our "responsible adolescent kin-ship".

Many times you have said things that have struck a chord with me. Like you know something about me from deep inside. I makes sense, doesn't it?

Yeah, my hottie was gay. Hope he's happy now.

My gay-dar is pretty good, and to be truthful i could care less if it were horrid. What I want to fix is my witch-dar. I need the witch-bruning mob from Monty Python and the Holy Grail with me..."she's a witch! Burn 'er!"

"how do you knoooow she's a witch?"

"she looks like one!"

2b, absolutely...something like that when you are young must mold so much of who we become as adults, and it sounds like we where raised by similar standards in general, which will about do it...that's also what I was thinking regarding the assertive/defensive thing, my whole life assertive and defensive where treated as the same thing. It was a way to keep me emotionally controlled I think, to keep my stepmother on top...no matter what I may have thought, it could never be validated if it was written off as defensiveness. AND she was a dry drunk, so I got it all AA big book style!

But, the things you overcome make up so much of who you are, the possitive you make from that negative, I see now why we have been on the same page on so many instances, birds of a feather, sort of.:)

Glittered, that's so funny! I love Monty Python the shows, but have only seen the movies in bits and pieces...though I did let some friends talk me into clomping cocnut halves with them for halloween when we went as aquestrians...
