Daughter and I are co-dependent on each other

It was suggested we were co-dependent to each other and we need to overcome this. Especially I see my problems with this. I have a tendency to say 'yes, I can do this when asked or not even asked to do things for her'. I have put myself in this position. I didn't see she really  had a problem with addiction.  I felt she was stronger than she felt she was. I need to learn to say no and think of myself.  I just am not sure how to accomplish this.
