To whom are you likely to refer couples for counseling? I usually refer them to their pastor, if they attend church, or mine, if they don't. Unless they live elsewhere, then I'm not always sure to whom to send them, but I suggest a pastor, usually.

A pastor is a great idea, if the couple is willing to go that route. Beyond that, there are professional counselors and therapists who also can provide help to couples.

If they have insurance or even a job with resources I would tell them to go that route.  A lot of employers have a help line where people can call to get help or referrals to counselors that can help them.

I think that couples counseling is for two people who have a problem  in their relationship that they can't solve.  If you know of anyone that meets this description it would be helpful  to tell them about anyone that you know of who could help out. The pastor of your church is a great idea.
