Hi. I’m addicted to pastries and puddings and I cannot resist them. I had tooth decay and I didn't pay much heed to it. Yesterday I had a slight fever and swelling on my gums. I rushed to an emergency dental care in Toronto and had to undergo an abscess tooth treatment ( http://www.emergency-dental-36.....ess-tooth/ ). My dentist says that it could be because of my craving for sweets and poor oral hygiene. He advised me to stay away from sugary meals, which I find really hard! Can anyone suggest me how to get rid of this addiction?

One thing you can try is for one week just change refined treats for fruits that are naturally sweet. It could be that you have a refined sugar and flour addiction and that is beginning to manifest itself as you get older like some sort of allergy. I know it's hard to resist, but refined sugar and white flour don't really give us much nutrition. If you start to look at food as fuel, you may find you have less health problems overall.

Oh, dear, i'm so sorry for ya. Your addiction, almost harmless form first sight, is a great danger for you body, your metabolism and your teeth. All i can say that you should find a proper therapist. therapeutic and dentin like Fontana dental clinic and might be okay. I hope it will be like that.
