My Soul Longs For You (Misty Edwards) Catalyst 2010 Fairbanks Alaska - This is a video of a youth event we had at spring break in the Fairbanks Alaska UPC Church called The Sanctuary. The event is called Catalyst. And kids from all over our district came up for this event. It's an annual event and we average 80 kids plus the counselors. The event was powerful and it does serve as a spiritual catalyst for young adult and adults as well.

SOAP: Caring for Fairbanks At-Risk Youth - Fairbanks Counseling & Adoption's Street Outreach & Advocacy Program (SOAP) is a drop-in center for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth ages 10- to 21-years-old who are looking for a better life or, at least, a safe place for temporary shelter. We provide hot meals, to-go food bags, bus tokens, job skills training, resume building, GED assistance, and obtaining ID assistance. We also offer free counseling for our clients through FCA. We are located at 530 7th Ave, Suite 2B, Fairbanks, AK 99701 (behind Wells Fargo). We are NOT an overnight shelter, but we drastically need one in our city! Surprised Samoan Feast and Concert at the Fairbanks Rescue Center - Alaska - While taking an intensive one week counseling course called "The Genesis Process" at the Fairbanks Rescue Center (Alaska), a minister named Sister Eppy and family surprised the class with some very tasty homemade Samoan food and a mini Christian music concert. As you will see, everybody was blessed by their surprise and appreciated their godly labor of love.
