This Is Lawrence - Wellness Center Grand Opening - On Wednesday, January 12, 2011, Lawrence had a Grand Opening of the Buchanan-Kiewit Wellness Center and welcomed hundreds of students, faculty, and staff Lawrence University recently renovated the Buchanan-Kiewit Recreation Center to become a Wellness Center--focusing on a holistic approach to wellness. In addition to recreation and sports, the Wellness Center is also home to health and counseling services. It is a place for our community to go to be healthy and be well! (And yes, we still have racquetball courts)

UWCC commencement 2011 - (UW PRESS RELEASE) The University of Wyoming/Casper College (UW/CC) Center's commencement ceremony honored 114 graduates Thursday, May 12, at 7:30 pm at the Casper Events Center. Rose Crossen, assistant lecturer of educational studies at the UW/CC Center, offered the faculty reflections, followed by the student speaker Liz Fauber, candidate for a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Walter Nolte, president of Casper College since 2004, offered the commencement address. Under his leadership, Casper College has added several new degrees and certificates and an honors program and enrollment has reached record levels. He has also worked as an excellent partner with the University of Wyoming. Nolte's leadership roles extend well beyond Casper: He has been a member of the Wyoming Community College President's Council and the American Association of Community Colleges Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Executive Council of the Wyoming Community College Commission. Forty graduates received their bachelor's degrees in elementary, secondary science, and secondary social studies education through the UW/CC Center. Degreesin communication, criminal justice, English, humanities and fine arts, psychology, social science, Spanish, biology, business administration, political science, wildlife and fisheries biology and management, and social work. "It's about the baby ... and Brody," she began, but was interrupted by a knock at the door. It was Marty, who wanted to know if it's true that Eli's dead. John explained what happened in Tahiti and said he was sorry that he couldn't bring Eli back alive to pay for what he did to Marty. When Marty asked why Eli pushed her, John explained that their theory was right: Eli wanted to throw John off of his trail, and that's why their baby is gone. Marty told John that he has a very good reason to move on from that, looking in Natalie's direction. Marty graciously expressed her happiness for the pair, then excused herself. John asked what it was Nat had to tell him before Marty showed up. Natalie backtracked and claimed she was just concerned about the pregnancy because of what Jessica and Brody are going through with her Rh treatment. John assured her that everything would be fine, and made her promise to let him do all the worrying from now on. At the hospital, Jessica broke the news to Brody that her baby might not be his. Brody could hardly believe it, and Jess was forced to admit that she slept with someone else.
