Description: Amy Lynn is an Art Therapist and Counselor in Chicago, working with women, children and families.
I’m an LCPC and registered art therapist (ATR) practicing in Chicago’s Lakeview and Logan Square neighborhoods. I work with women, children and families. In my holistic approach to treatment, I use art therapy, psychotherapy and other expressive therapies, in addition to collaboration with other healing professionals. I offer individual and family therapy, as well as art-based wellness workshops.
My interests and background specifically include helping women through life transitions like pregnancy, new motherhood and career change, in addition to helping women cope with life stressors, such as caregiver distress, postpartum depression, grief & loss, and general “superwoman overload.” I also help children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, loss, and difficult family situations, and find that art therapy is especially helpful with this population. I have extensive experience working with people with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities and behavior disorders, and offer school-based consultations for children having difficulties. My degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I really enjoy working with families when applicable. I have a warm and open approach, and enjoy helping my clients find positive outcomes.
