I honestly like many of the changes. I have used the PM feature and it worked. I completely understand why some people wish to remain annonymous, but in my case that is not a big concern for me. Now we have the option and are not breaking the rules if we choose to allow others to PM with us etc. I feel safer since there is some moderation now. Maybe no more attacks when seeking support and advice. I like being able to use color, smileys, subscribe to topics etc. Change always takes time and those who wish to remain annonymous can do so. Make fake e-mail if you have to. I hope with time users will calm down and get more comfortable with the new format. I for one appreciate the money, time and effort put into this new design.

Dear Admin.
The only thing i am concerned about is there should be clear forum rules. Terms of Use. When people register they have to agree to the terms of use before becoming a member. Isn't this needed to moderate the forum?
I m a long standing member so I didn't see IF there were rules while registering. There are no rules posted anywhere unless i haven't fopund them yet. Even if they are posted somewhere they aren't prominant and easy to find.
This is VERY important! There is no CODE OF CONDUCT SECTION, and it is necessary for age appropriate protections, and to protect members & guests.
I hope this i dealt with soon.
TY

Hi Shortcake,
No, your email address will not be shown. Not in Google search results, any other search engine, or by browsing your profile on this site. Unless of course you post it in a discussion, but as far as the registration process goes definitely not.
You can also go to http://www.allaboutcounseling……m/profile/ click Personal Options and click "Hide Your Online Status" if you don't want it to show when you're online or not.

Admin and Counsylvania, Thanks for your replies.
I feel better knowing its optional to post that info and we can remain unknown if we want.
Have a great day. Shortcake.

This may be a silly thing, but the stupid little box with information about addiction services is driving me crazy!! Is always seems to be covering up something I need to read or the log in space. I can't close that box, move it or anything, it seems to have a mind of its own. Is there anything that can be done to remove that box? thank you

Dear Admin,
As you can see my font is VERY small, which I can't seem to control. I can control it on other site and my personal email, but not here. Any suggestions?

Hi SC,
I can post here and on the libs side if I wished, but my member name/id does not work for me to
post on the support side. Is this a problem others are having?
My friend on my thread— sorry, I can't post right now for some reason!
Thanks,
Fire

Hi Everyone,
To address a couple of the concerns:
- You should be able to see recent posts and threads now, as people add them. There was a problem and some people were not seeing the updates right away.
- If you find the text of the forum hard to read, what you can do to enlarge the text is hold down your Ctrl key and press the + key. On most browsers, that will zoom in on the page. To zoom out, you just use the – key instead.

I think it would be great if the pm feature can be revised so that I can block pm's from people I don't want to recieve messages from. Is there any way I can do that now? Thank you!

I think it would a great added feature if you could limit people to one nic per IP address and e-mail address. When people can continue to create new nics to hide behind, things will never be safe for people on this site. You ban one, like Emily Rose and then another will just pop up. I'm sure there are people who would create multiple e-mails to try to still continue to create new nics, but hopefully they would not have access to very many IP addresses. Certainly hope this is an issue you will look into.
The poster recently banned named "emily rose" actually shared the real name of a poster and her state of residence. This is totally unacceptable.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Shep,
Your post is fine. I guess there's no problem anymore when replying to any posts. You all have the permission to create your own topic or reply/subscribe from any posts in the forum. Good luck and take care.

It would show honesty and goodwill if occasionally the two administrators would
come forward and post something about themselves.
At the bottom of the sign on page it says "There are 2 admins". I have seen Shining Light as an
admin, but never a second one.
Nothing like names or personal contact info but a brief intro about themselves and their mission and vision for the site wouldbe nice. There was so much secrecy before, &since no warning was given about the site changing, behind the scenes theres been doubt expressed about whether or not the site was really changed hands.
It might inspire confidence and those who only read might start posting again. just a thought.
