Hi sheila, it does not sound like a very good dream — more like a nightmare. Are you OK?

I guess so…I don't have them often but when I do I can't seem to move or make any sound and something is always after me. I made the decision that I need to stop watching the scary movies because they are effecting me as I get older. When I was young it was ok, now I realize that these things in these movies are in fact real. I wonder….. I'm really scared that I have come across an evil spirit. What do you think?

I have nightmares where I am trying to scream but nothing will come out. I guess I can relate it to my life, and why that happens. But it is horrible. I am screaming for help, but nobody can hear me because I can't really get it to come out. I hate that. I am sorry that you have similar nightmares. I attribute mine to the fact that my mind and heart are screaming for help, because I am dying inside, BUT, I am deathly afraid to tell anyone that I need help. I have started seeing a psychologist, so we will see if they ease up at all. I don't know. Does it make any sense to you, if you correlate it to a real life situtaion like that?

Sheila and Mich,

I have dreams like that quite often. I HATE them. They are a form of nightmare. I'm learning to school my mind and can walk out of them into the one thing that calms me.
When I lived in Hawaii there is a place on Oahu called Hanauma Bay. I picture myself floating on the waters and there is no one else around.
You get the picture. It soothes me and I can either fall back into deeper sleep or have another dream. It has taken me years to do.

Love,
Cyndra

When I was younger those reoccouring dreams use to freak me out becuase they were exactly what you are experincing. there was always someone chasing me and I couldn't move, run, walk, scream, nothing not a sound came out. Someone once told me that it was my life. That when you can't move it's because you are somewhere in life where you are in standstill and when you are ready to move on with whatever it is that's on your head or well in mine at the time, eventually all those dreams go away. And believe me the last dream like that I had, I actually ran and I was so happy the next morning and never saw one of those ever since. Find what your looking for and go ahead with it is what he told me! It worked for me.

I've had those dreams. I've also had the ones where I'm trying to dial the police, and hit every number EXCEPT theirs. Frustrating! Scary movies can have this affect on us. I was having repeated nightmares. And I LOVE scary movies, and murder mystery novels. For a while I gave them all up — read nothing but spiritual books — lots of Max Lucado. The nightmares did, indeed, stop after a short period of time. And they came right back the next time I picked up a horror novel. Wonder why I can't seem to let them go completely.

WoW! All your stories make me feel so much better. I thought I was possesed or something. My life is kinda crazy right now. Stuck in my marriage, basically waiting for my husband to grow up and let me find real happiness. Funny thing is he has the same dreams also. It kinda makes sense, because I don't have them often. But I do have quite a lot on my plate. Thanks so much!

Hi Sheila,

I've had this dream before too. I think mine is related to feelings of helplessness I had when being sexually abused.

hope you start having good dreams soon:)

Sheila – watch what you read and watch. Try to read some relaxing positive books and also be careful what you choose to watch on tv.

If you're highly sensitive person like me, you need to be even More careful coz we are highly fragile gals and anything can get the best in us.

Try to meditate and read a spiritual book b4 you go to bed. Dim lights, soft music, bubble bath are very helpful tools to help you relax.

And to get the best in ecstacy try warm Milk sweetened with honey. This will make you have the climax of relaxation and the best dreams.

Sweet dreams & Hugs!~Ras~

It could be "Sleep Paralisis" where you are in the middle of waking up and are literally 1/2 asleep and 1/2 awake.

MOST alien encounters, angle encounters, and demon encounters are cused by this.

You are awake enough to see but can't move ANYTHING but your eyes.

It is how your body stops you from acutally getting up and doing what you are dreaming you are doing… like driving, eating, killing, running, screaming, exc.

You take your bedroom and have the bad nightmare creatures or people in there with you.

I had this once and it was SCARY!

I saw a shadow figure in the room with me and I couldn't move or scream and he walked over to the bed, crawled up, and was stareing at me with his hands on my chest. I FINALLY snapped out of it and freaked out!

I saw a show a few days later on Discovery about how like 80% of all current alien abductions and past reports of Demons and Angels are TOTALLY, 100%, NO DOUBT caused by Sleep Paralisis.

Go talk to a sleep doctor about it if your problems persist!

Hope this helps!

Oh My God you hit the nail on the head. I can see a black mist above me , it has no shape and it just hoovers over me. I try to speak as to tell it to leave me alone but my voice sounds weird as I can't make myself talk. I started burning incents and playing soothing music as these spirits dont like this at all. It has helped and I dont really dwell on it. It just freaked me out to see something like that and know it was no dream. I will talk to a Dr. and I will do more investigation into this. Thanks…Acryforhelp

a few times I had a dream that I was trying to fight back and when I kicked my attacker, I just couldn't get the power to do any damage.
