Hello All,

Yes, our site was down this weekend. Haven't read all the posts to catch up yet. I see a few of you have posted on my other post.

Well, yesterday was a real kick in the stomache for me.

I've been having some numbness in my left arm for about a month. At first I thought I hurt myself at the gym, so I took it easy with the weights. The numbness kept getting worse. I thought stress.

Yesterday morning, I didn't have a headache, no chest pain, no stomacheache, no dizziness, just a little lightheaded.

I had the numbness in my arm, very persistent, and then the numbness started in my leg.

My girlfriend took me to the emergency room. I have a family history of brain aneurysm and heart aneurysm.

Well, since I never get headaches, and my blood pressure was normal, they ran some other tests on me.

The conclusion was that I need to see a neurologist and have an MRI, because they are guessing MS or Lou gherrings disease.

I came home last night and layed on the couch and I wondered why? Why is this happening. It's been a tough year folks, I know we are all suffering with our issues, But all of a sudden my ex meant nothing. NOTHING.

I am going to the neurologist next friday, as it is the soonest they could get me in.

My friends have been wonderful, don't know what I would do without them.

Thanks for letting me vent and come to a place that makes me feel good.

I am so sorry that you are now confronted with these medical concerns. Thankfully, your physician is on top of things and has ordered some more definitive medical tests. I will pray for the best possible outcome.

Yes, once we are faced with what really is important, we tend to put things in a much clearer perspective.

I so understand that.

You will be in my thoughts, Autumn. You are a very strong woman. I am so glad you have your friends to support you.

I'm glad you went to have this checked out.
Man they can scare the crap out of us with their guessing!
Glad you have friends that can be there for you and of course you have all your friends here.

Razor's right...they can scare the crap out of you. I've known two people who were told they needed to be checked for MS and Lou Gehrig's... it wasn't either.

But I know, the possibility of anything, of just the questions is tough.

I'm really going to send you good thoughts... and I'm glad you have such great friends.

Hi Celtic and Fire,

Thanks for being here.

Fire, i know that nothing is for sure yet. i'm sure they are just trying to cover all the bases.

The thing is, I'm laying on the couch right now, and my arm and leg are numb, so what the hell is wrong with me?

I'm trying to stay positive.

I didn't mean to be insensitive or to just seem like I'm brushing your concerns off.

It *is* anxiety provoking when something is up physically, but you don't know what it is. I have a serious chronic illness, so I know the balance is not always easy when questions arise.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this right now... Try to not let your mind get too far ahead of you.

I hope you get some good rest tonight.

Funny to say, as we've never met...but I'll be sending you good thoughts.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. My arm and leg are very numb today, I need to relax and not worry about it. I'm headed to the gym right now, then work.

I've been reading some on numb arms and legs. Of course this is just anecdotal and from health boards, but you might want to check it out

I wonder if it is a disc in your neck? My girlfriend just had surgery because of the symptoms you just described. She had 3 bones spurs in her neck.

PLEASE KEEP US POSTED!!!!!!!!!!!

Autumn,

Going to the gym, good for you. It’s great to see you being so positive.

I had my own health crises late last year so I can imagine what you may be feeling and thinking. But keeping as positive as you can, will be your strength.

And you will need all your strength in the near future so try not to give too much away to the EX, keep it all for yourself!!!!!

My thoughts will be with you.

I am sorry you are being faced with this now! I know it is scary but I do have to agree Dr's can scare the crap out of you.I guess they just try to prepare you for the worst.

Let us know how you are and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Fire, thanks for the info, I will check that out.

Doris, that's a thought. did your friend have pain in her neck? headaches? I don't have either. I just have numbness, but no pain anywhere.

I went to the gym and took an hour spinning class. I kept up fine, my heart rate was in the normal range, but last week it seemed high.

I go to the neurologist this friday. they scheduled my MRI for the 29th.

Thanks for all the support, I need it now.

(((Autumn))) How you doing there? How are you feeling?

I'm not advising you look a bunch of things up on the internet, cause that can drive a person crazy (I know, I've done it before), but seems like there's stuff from panic attacks to back and pinched nerve issues that are possibilities for numbness.

Just checking in to see how you are.

I don't teach today, so I sat around watching talky French movies with super handsome guys and women with great jewelry! What can I say-- it was the day for it...

Fire,

I've been at work all day, long day, and I haven't had a chance to check out anything on the internet anyway.

I went to the gym, and I felt a little better afterwards, but still the numbness. I am really tired today. I'm sleeping pretty good, when I get into bed i'm just so tired.

I've been eating really healthy, like crazy healthy and drinking lots of water, taking vitamins. I don't know, it can't hurt me.

I'm pretty healthy all the way around, go to the gym, eat well, so this has hit me pretty hard.

Like I said, i've got amazing friends, they've been checking in on me. Of course I have all of you wonderful people on this site that keep my spirits up. It helps a lot.

Good Morning everyone,

I am TIRED today. I did not want to get out of bed this morning. set the alarm to go to the gym and went back to sleep. The good news is that there is no numbness in my leg, and my arm isn't quite as bad today. I am going to the gym after work today. Thanks for checking up on me. You are all so wonderful.

(((((Hugs)))))

Dearest Autumn -

I had nearly identical symptoms from extreme emotional stress and anxiety. When my emotions healed, the symptoms cleared up.

Keep us posted...
